I just added wires to my high beam, left and right turn circuits to supply 12v to my dash for indicator lights. The high beam indicator works just fine and the high beam circuit functions as it should but both turn signal circuits don't work now. Watching them with the monitor shows that the inputs for both are being seen and both outputs show to be working but no power is present on those pins. I've verified that the circuits function as they should by powering them separately from the PDM.
Is this an internal problem?
My apologies George. I stupidly repinned the connector wrong then confused myself by being upside down while checking the outputs with a voltmeter. Everything is fine now. Thanks!
Hi,
Please send your config file to contact@hardwire-electronics.co.uk and I will have a look through it on Monday morning. It is very unlikely that any damage has occurred by powering turn signal lights - I'd guess the current draw is only a couple of amps at most.
Please make sure to double check the voltage on the outputs at the PDM, either with a multimeter or with a test light.
