Powering keypad

Powering from PDM works fine now. it’s a problem with CAN. i guess I’m doing something wrong there

Set speed to 1000kb/sec and ID to 21

You need to change your PDM to 125 kbits if you are using a keypad "from factory". There's a video on Hardwire Electronics youtube regarding how you change the ID and the speed of the keypad.

If you use the canbus analyzer under monitor you should see the keypad sending it's startup packet where it states it's ID. If not, you have either the wrong speed configured on the canbus or your canbus is wired wrong (don't forget to use resistor on the canbus, there's two other videos on the same channel that's super helpful about canbus and how it works)

I got the resistors right. Had 60 Ohms. I’m using Asgard can module now. I’m getting 60ohms between can hi and can low, my wires are around 15cm from module. It does cycle through initialization. in can keypad monitor it shows disconnected. I purchase PDM and Keypad through SBpartsdirect as a bundle. when I’m looking at can bus analyzer I’m not getting any signals from keypad, no initial message.

many idea how I can test the output from keypad?

I’m doing something wrong. i Set up ouput as above, input 1 is triggered by 1.5V after ign on as followed. It’s not coming on. In test HS it does cycle. what I could be missing?

I just checked. both are grounded

i do get 12V on the stud

i switched to output 1, same thing

cycles on test HS. But nothing happens otherwise

Ok if it is going through the initialisation, then the output is working fine as it has power to the keypad. Please show your output function now

now I got another question. Do I have to define IGN input? As I’m getting it from the Cartek Battery isolator GT.
