PDM28 with Blink PKP-3500-SI-MTR button press not registering

I have a PDM28 with s/w v1.1 and a Blink PKP-3500-SI-MTR on CAN1. I have set up the Hardwire software to 125kb/s and set it for Dev ID 21 and when I set up LED colors, and SEND, the LED colors are correct (background, dial LEDs, min, max, offset etc.). I have Button 2 programmed for 3 states, LEDs set as Nothing off, Blue on State 1, Green on State 2, Red on State 3. I set up button 3 momentary with Green when True. This all works when the system is powered up. Button 2 cycles through colors, button 3 turns green when pressed, back to background white/blue when released.

What never has happened is receiving the button data in Monitor, or showing change of State in the Can Keypad section when connected. All dial and button states are 0 (zero) and don't change then the button is pressed, or knob turned. The color changes with the corresponding state, but the button press/knob change is not registered. Any output set to trigger from a key press does not work. I confirmed the output working with a physical input (DTMGray Pin 1 - Input 5 Low) works correctly.

In the CAN Keypad section I have CAN Keypad 1 enabled and set to Blink Marine 15 w/Dials, and the CAN1 status LED on the PDM28 body is green, but the where it shows "Connection" on the CAN Keypad 1 it always shows a red indicator and reads "Disconnected". This certainly seems to be part of my problem.
