Hey guys,
What im trying to accomplish is to have a 12 volt output sent over to a ecu that increments voltage by 1 volt per dial click.
the ecu can then do alot of different things based off of dial position
im using a blink marine 15 button keypad with 2 dials
i know i can do duty cycle but the issue is its a percentage of actual system voltage which fluctuates.
i was hoping to set this up with a fixed (well fixed within reason, say maybe a tenth of a volt) voltage.
so if dial is spun all the way down, output puts out zero volts, rotate one detent and now 1 volt, another detent and we have 2 volts.
let me know if this is possible please.
thank you in advance
If you want do math calculation you should use the math channels. 😏
To calculate the needed PWM for a known voltage it needs some electrical knowledge. There would be an other problem. Your ECU will be fast enough to see the pulse and not the average voltage. You need a "circuit" to form the average voltage consisting of a coil or a capacitor.
This will also smoothen the PWM output.
