Finally got round to installing the new updates for the PDM. Followed the procedure and it didn't work the first time so from the new software, updated the PDM bin file, this seemed to work. The new software looks good far better layout in the last one, for my computer anyway. I reloaded the saved data onto the PDM and all the inputs and outputs seem to be there.
However, things weren't working correctly and I notice that none of my can keypad settings have been transferred over ,I did notice that the Keypad settings were the generic ones and nothing to do with mine, they hadn't transferred over.
I changed the can ID re-set the PDM and the keypad lit up but all the configurations hadn't been transferred across for some reason. I reloaded the old save data but still made no difference. So I started to edit the pads configuration to what I could remember. But it's still not working correctly the can keypad if you put it onto states and monitor as you press the buttons, it doesn't go state 1,2, 3. It can go in any order it pleases. Also the buttons don't do the exact purpose. The ones Ive got set up for the windows is pretty hit and miss when you press them to whether they latch on or not and the same goes for trying to switch them off.
Any ideas how I can even get back my old can keypad settings or is there some sort of bug this stops my keypad working. It a 12 key blink marine one.
I went from 1.1.1. to 1.1.2. Been having all sort of issues with with things that work fine before the upgrade but now they're all over the place. One of the maths channels was used to maintain a constant voltage by having battery voltage divided by 12 and then apply this figure to some of the inputs in another maths block. but the voltages are all over the place as it seems the PDM maths isn't quick enough to calculate its values. It was fine.
Tring to get the wipers to work correctly again took hours. The park switch sent the voltage but the PDM wasn't quick enough to see/process it and wouldn't park. Even though you could see the spike on the log graph, 0.9v to 12v. All very annoying.
