I am in the process of setting up my hardwirepdm to broadcast it's analog/digital inputs via CAN to a Haltech Nexus 5. Because of Haltech's system, the hardwire pdm has to emulate an existing haltech product. The images below show haltech IO Box CAN configuration I'm trying to emulate. I'm not sure how to setup the information on the hardwire side. Related to this, is there an ability for the hardwirepdm to emulate a haltech PD16 using this same methodology? if you don't, what information do you need to be able to do it? Thank you,
Evan
I can take a look. There is already the motec PDM output as a stream, we may be able to do the Haltech one too somehow. This will all be possible using the standard CAN outputs, though you may have to build each byte using a maths channel
Okay, I know this is an old post, but hopefully we can make some headway on this! I just confirmed with Haltech that it is technically/theoretically possible to receive CAN signals from a third party PDM, and these are the confirmed IO box CAN protocol and DPI/DPO packet layouts (screenshots included in case link doesn't work): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/114zDtsknV0uZiatYvU12Al-44u4l8--OsPpu0YjkLnk/edit?usp=sharing
@George Stokes is there a write up somewhere on how to implement this? Maybe something that could be included with the CAN config files available for download? I know it's asking a lot, but any help on this would be an absolute life saver.
